Helping people to return from injury and reach their full potential in the activities they enjoy is why I became a chiropractor. However, after several years in practice I now realize that chiropractic is more than just injury recovery. You don't have to be hurt to get adjusted. Receiving a chiropractic adjustment is the best way to optimize your body's performance in all aspects of your life. Stress causes restrictions in your body that irritates your nervous system leading to pain and dysfunction. The adjustment clears out this restriction and stimulates your nerves, including your brain to function better. When a person's (or animal's) nervous system is functioning optimally they move, think, and live at their highest potential. That is my favorite part about being a chiropractor! My practice is available to your whole family. Adults, Kids of all ages, athletes at any level, are all welcome and can benefit from chiropractic care.
I earned my doctorate from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City. While at CCC-KC I was a member of the sports club and was able to work with athletes from recreational races to elite events. Continuing education is a very important part of my practice. I am always trying to improve my skills so I can be the best chiropractor possible. I have done this through advanced adjusting seminars, concussion assessment/treatment seminars, and becoming certified to perform sports & pre-participation physicals.
I enjoy being part of our community that is full of opportunities to be outdoors and be active. Sports, exercise, and nutrition played a big part in my life, I was a former NCAA D1 Wrestler for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Cornhuskers where I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Sciences. Now, in addition to providing chiropractic care to the Telluride community and surrounding areas, I also provide 1-on-1 training sessions to anyone interested in progressing their skills in wrestling, as well as, anyone wanting to learn how to work out or exercise properly, so the next generation can have the same opportunity to develop a love for these sports and the amazing area we live in. When I am not in the office you can find me snowboarding, on my bike, or out on an adventure in the amazing Telluride surroundings.
